Really good Kaiseki Experience

I chose the standard Kaiseki meal plan at Yokikan, and it was anything but standard! The variety of dishes presented to us for dinner was a culinary delight, beautifully prepared with care and bursting with flavors. Even though I was stuffed, I couldn’t resist savoring every last bite. Breakfast was equally impressive, featuring an array of traditional dishes that kept us satisfied. Truly, dining here felt like a feast fit for royalty!

Lovely Onsen Experience

I had the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent open-air onsen at Yokikan. The views from the hilltop mixed-gender bath were amazing, and soaking in the warm, alkaline water surrounded by nature was an enchantingly relaxing experience. The perfect temperature and peaceful setting made for the ultimate wind-down after a long day of exploring. It’s a must-try!

Spacious and Comfy Room

We were fortunate enough to stay in a room that felt more like an entire suite, complete with tatami mats and stunning views of the city. The space was ample enough for us to stretch out comfortably and feel at home. We even had a balcony that overlooked the beautiful scenery. Honestly, after experiencing this spacious room, I doubt I’d ever want to stay in a cramped hotel room again!

Relaxing Gardens and Amenities

The beautifully maintained gardens at Yokikan added a special touch to our stay. Taking leisurely strolls through the aromatic paths while listening to the calming sound of the nearby waterfall was something I cherished. My stay at Yokikan was absolutely delightful! The hospitality was exceptional, and the onsen experience was magical, especially the outdoor one with stunning views. The meals were beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. While it was a bit of a walk from the train station, the tranquility and charm of the ryokan more than made up for it. I truly hope to return someday!

I had a lovely time at the inn! The experience was unique, immersing me in traditional Japanese culture from the moment I arrived. The antique funicular was a delightful touch, and the tranquil atmosphere was soothing. Rather than the bustle of weekend crowds, the midweek stay allowed for a peaceful retreat. However, I wish I could have enjoyed dinner at the inn, but the multi-course breakfast was absolutely luxurious. Definitely worth the experience for a unique stay!

I had an unforgettable experience at the Ryokan! The welcoming atmosphere and incredible outdoor onsen with breathtaking views were definite highlights. The service was top-notch, and I even received a complimentary room upgrade which made my stay even better. The only downside was that the traditional Japanese breakfast may not be to everyone's taste, especially if you're not used to fish in the morning, but it was still a unique experience worth trying.
